Shot a 95lb hog today with the MVP patrol
looks tasty. Private land or public?
Private land owned by 2 Navy rescue swimmers 2 of the best guys you could ever meet !
My brother in law was a rescue diver up to his retirement. Met a bunch of his cohorts at a family bbq. Seems to be a vocation well stocked with ridiculously good people.
private land is the only place we can hunt hogs now in missouri . the mdc decided it was better for them to trap the hogs and or use ariel gunnery to shoot them because they said hunters on the ground just scatter the herd . any property managed by the department of conservation is now off limits to hunting feral hogs . I find it hard to believe shooting at pigs out of a helicopter spooks they hogs less than somebody in a blind .
Sounds like anti Hunter/shooters.
I guess the person at the state of Missouri office who made those rules has never seen how much damage feral hogs do
Slow cooked pulled pork wild hog was one of the best meals I ever ate.
My favorite hunk of pork ever was a slow cooked steak made from the belly of a 125lbs wild sow hog. Me and my spotter TDT made them after what was also my best hunt ever. I call 'em "bacon steaks". There's nowhere near the amount of fat as in store bought bacon but that just makes it even better. Crock pot for 6 hours on low. It's a dark meat but simply amazing flavor. Similar to retail pork but with a bit more flavor... like it had been smoked over the smell of concentrated country air.
