What scope and rings are you running or planning on running on your MVP? I have a Leupold 6-18 VXII waiting on my MVP to get here, but I haven't figured out what rings to use yet. I normally use Leupold rings and dovetail bases if the eye relief allows.

My MVP came with bases installed. I went with WARN 30mm high rings and a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50mm. Turrets tune to zero and it is a really nice rig.

I got my MVP last Tuesday. I just ordered a Mueller 8.5-32 x50 on high Leupold quick detach rings. I have never owned a Mueller scope only Nikon and Leupold's, but the price was right for my current budget. If I don't like it, it's no big deal. But I hope I do. The scope has a very fine reticle, which I wanted. Last year I used my Nikon M-223 3-12 in a 600 yard match and on 12x the cross hairs covered the bull. So I'm hoping if I shoot a 600 yard match or ever go prairie dog hunting this will be a good scope for small targets at mid to long ranges. It also has a illuminated dot for low light coyote hunting

I may run a fixed power 25x scope for high accuracy if I already have an acquired target, but for right at the moment just to put something on mine, I'm going to run a BSA Sweet .223 with interchangeable turrets for 55, 62, and 69gr bullets. Later on I will probably get a Vortex or Nikko Stirling target scope.

Running a Nikon Buckmaster 4.5 -14 x40 now. Trying to decide between a Simmons 44mag 6-21x44 or Redfield Revolution 4-12x40 Accu-range. Buckmasters has to go back on the 30-06. :(

Welcome to the Mossberg MVP forum Tyson. What do you think of the clarity of the Coyote Special on high magnification? I think it is similar glass to the Nikon Buckmaster series only greater magnification. I have always liked Nikon optics, but their scope tube bodies are shorter than other manufacturers and it messes with my eye relief. I have the 10 X 42 Monarch binos and they kick ass. Extremely clear.

I have a Nikon Buckmaster on my MVP, another scope that I have on my Savage 12fv (.223) is a Millett TRS-1 which is a great scope.

I picked up a Centerpoint 4-16x40mm for mine. This is not a scope i would typically prefer but I purchased a Rem 700 in .308 with a 4-16x50 Centerpoint and it shoots 1/2" MOA groups no problem and the scope has held up as well as my Luepolds and Zeiss. For this budget gun I think it will do the job. It comes with rings and flip up scope covers for $70. Also illuminated Mill-dot reticle.

Ended up switching out the BSA and returned it due to defects. I put on a Truglo Infinity 6-24x44 with a 4" sunshade. It has fine target hairs that doesn't cover a 1" dot at 100 yards which is nice, and is really clear for the money. I threw a Sweet .17 on my little .17hmr to replace it because the Truglo was on my .17 for awhile till the BSA failed on me at the range.

I would encourage anybody to make the switch to Vortex optics. The product is unbelievable for an awesome price. Maybe im bias because I shop @ prostaff price, but the product rocks and the warranty is hard to beat.

Anybody ever give that Truglo a chance I posted up. For me that thing has been through the wringer and its withstood drops, and some serious abuse from a .308 to a .17 to a .223 and never once has it failed. Best $79.99 I've ever spent.

I would encourage everyone to try the Vortex Viper HS 4-16x44. You can either get the v-plex or the dead hold BDC. Ive got the dead hold on mine and with a factory 55gr V-max the holdovers for yardage are very close with the stock settings.

I have a BSA Sweet 223 6-18 right now, I guess i will just have to see how it holds up, hopefully i dont have the same problem as Bombadillo did. Maybe i should have spent the little bit more on the Viper, but so it goes with a students budget.

Just swapped the 4-16x40 for a 6-24x50 that should help with the 300-500 yard range.

Nikon P223 BDC600 3-9X, fit and finish are excellent, resetable 0 turrets, crisp Japanese glass, and a functional BDC. a great value driven optic.

Anyone happen to know who makes the 3-9/40 scope Mossberg sells with the MVP 27715? I just bought this rifle , replaced the scope with a better one, and put the scope that came with the MVP on an old Marlin 60 .22...........but, can't seem to focus it.
